LIES ALLENDALE FARM

WHAT IS ALLENDALE FARM:
It is a SMALL-SCALE FARM, run by a Husband and Wife team, producing SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL and WHOLESOME food.

AT THE END OF THE DAY, WE WOULD LIKE TO ACHIEVE THE FOLLOWING:      
To build a Regenerative Market Garden with a diversified and integrated Pastured Livestock component that is symbiotic, holistic and in concert with nature. To create vertically integrated Artisanal Products, that are both mouth-watering  and nutriently dense, by making use of the farm’s own produce. This in effort to make the farm more economically and ecologically resilient and also to help contribute to creating a community enriching Local Food Network. Which all would combine to provide us with a sustainable and satisfying Quality of Life.
                                                                
THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES BY WHICH WE WOULD LIKE TO ACHIEVE OUR GOALS:
  1. Applying Regenerative Farming Practices (It all starts with the Soil)
  2. Planting only Open Polinated Heirloom Vegetables Varieties (Genetic Conservation and Climate Adapted Plants)
  3. Rearing only Heritage Livestock Breeds (Genetic Conservation and Climate Adapted Animals)
  4. Making use of Outdoor Livestock Production Systems (Better for Them, Better for Us)
  5. Maintaining Compassionate Husbandry and Animal Welfare Standards (It's a Farm not a Factory!)
  6. Incorporating Artisanal Value Adding (Vertical Integration)
  7. Offsetting produce through Localized Direct Marketing (Farm to Plate)
  8. Employing Fair and Ethical Labour Practices (Speaks for Itself)
